It’s pretty-photo-from-the-archives Friday! This photo was taken at Playa Flamingo in Costa Rica back in August, 2007. Playa Flamingo is a lovely little resort area in the Guanacaste region on the Pacific side of the country.

It’s random pic from the archives Tuesday! This photo was taken at Hug Point State Park, which is a little gem of a park along Oregon’s incredibly beautiful coast.

The area around Cannon Beach is my favorite place along Oregon’s beautiful coast. Upon seeing the area from the promontory now called Tillamook Head, William Clark (of Lewis & Clark fame) described it as “…the grandest and most pleasing prospects which my eyes ever surveyed, in front of a boundless Ocean…” Ol’ William certainly wasn’t exaggerating. The impressive basalt seastacks at Cannon Beach are MUCH better photographed at sunset, but since I’ve never been there at sunset, I’ll share these two photos, taken on a rare sunny afternoon in October:
